01 The Problem
A manufacturing facility needed visibility into 30 new production lines with real-time monitoring, alerting, and the ability to control cells individually or in batches.
02 What I Built
- Built monitoring dashboard displaying real-time data for all 30 lines
- Displayed temperatures, PID values, cell status, and names
- Implemented color-coded status indicators based on ideal ranges
- Created individual and batch cell control functionality
- Configured alerting system for out-of-range conditions
- Integrated non-native Phoenix Contact PLCs with Ignition (required custom configuration)
- Updated company certificates and network settings
03 Key Technical Decisions
Prioritized clear visual hierarchy—operators need to spot problems instantly
Phoenix Contact integration required creative workarounds since it wasn't natively supported
